Spaulding Youth Center is seeking a full-time Health Services Medication Assistant, Monday through Friday, 1:00pm to 9:00pm, with flexibility to cover vacations and off times.

Essential functions include ensuring that medication is packed correctly from pharmacy and make corrections as necessary. Notify nursing staff so that second checks may be completed. Administer medications to cottages or school as assigned. Report to the nurse any health concerns noted. Obtain weights and heights in coordination with Health Services team as needed. Assist in preparation of medications for students leaving campus for extended periods. Maintain all medication rooms in cottages, to include stocking and cleaning. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for the Health Services Medication Assistant is a High School diploma and medication training for a minimum of three years. Experience working with youths with behavioral, neurological or emotional needs in a residential setting is a must. Positive communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent customer service is required. Time management, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize are essential. Based on regulatory requirements, applicants for this role must be 21 years of age.
